Official Contest Rules

Last updated: 29 August 2026 · SudoRush · support@whosin.chat

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning — there is nothing to purchase.

1. Sponsor

SudoRush.

2. Eligibility

Open to natural persons aged 18 or over at the time of entry, except residents of jurisdictions where such contests are void or restricted. Employees of the Sponsor and their immediate families may not win a prize.

3. How to enter

Create a free account, confirm your email address, choose whether you are competing individually or as part of a team, and solve puzzles. There is no other entry method, no entry fee, no deposit and no purchase of any kind.

4. Contest period

Each season states its opening and closing time on its season page. A season also closes early if every puzzle in its catalogue is solved. Competition events open every three hours on a fixed schedule aligned to midnight UTC.

5. How points are earned

Points are awarded solely for correctly solving Sudoku puzzles:

  • Season catalogue puzzles: 10 points (Easy), 15 (Medium), 20 (Hard), 25 (Very Hard). One may be started every 60 minutes and is reserved exclusively to the entrant for 60 minutes.
  • Competition puzzles: 1 point (Easy), 2 (Medium), 3 (Hard), awarded independently, one attempt at each per event — a maximum of 6 points per event.
  • Every competitive puzzle allows 2 free hints and at most 3 incorrect entries. Neither may be purchased, extended or obtained by any other means.
  • Practice mode awards no points and has no bearing on the contest.

Points cannot be purchased, sold, transferred or exchanged, and confer no competitive advantage that was not earned by solving.

6. Determination of winners

Winners are determined entirely by skill. At the close of a season each entrant — an individual or a team — receives a share of the prize pool equal to their eligible points divided by the total eligible points of all entrants.

There is no element of chance in the determination of a winner, and no winner is selected at random. Ties are not possible: two entrants with equal points receive equal payouts.

7. Prizes

The prize pool for each season is stated on its season page and is funded before the season opens. Prizes are paid in cash by the methods listed on the site. The Sponsor retains no portion of any prize won; portions corresponding to points nobody earned are simply not distributed.

A team's prize is calculated for the team and then divided equally between its locked members, irrespective of individual contribution.

Individual balances below $5.00 are not disbursed due to processing costs.

8. Conduct

Use of any solver, script, bot, macro or other automation to produce answers is prohibited, as is operating more than one account. Entries obtained in breach of this rule are void, and the Sponsor may disqualify the entrant and withhold prizes. See the Fair Play policy.

9. Taxes

Winners are solely responsible for all taxes on prizes received.

10. Publicity

Winners consent to the display of their chosen display name, points and payout amount on public leaderboards. No other personal information is published.

11. Disputes

Any dispute is governed by the laws of England & Wales. Raise it first with us at support@whosin.chat — most are resolved that way.

12. Void where prohibited

This contest is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
